Whistling sounds

I get loud whistling sounds from the timing belt alternator area. I need some DIY instructions. I don't like to visit a mechanixc unless I realy have to. Is there something I can do to stop this sound???

we need to determine where it is coming from. it could be power steering pump from low fluid or the pump itself, it could be a bad bearing from water pump, alternator or ac compressor.

at least have someone identify the noise and the reason and get back to us
