Honda Accord Click Problem

I have a 98 Honda Accord V6 EX 3.0. The other morning I left for work (very cold outside) after letting it warm up for about 10 minutes. As soon as I left the driveway the car began lurching under acceleration. I turned off the radio and heard a fast clicking coming from the instrument cluster or steering column area. I limped it back into the driveway where it promptly died and wouldn't restart. 20 minutes later it restarted but died again almost immediately. The car won't start at all now, has power but won't turn over. I checked and cleaned the idle air control valve today but haven't done anything else. Where should I start? Thanks
