Transmission. Car won't shift into gear.

1998 Ford Windstar 96K miles.
Started fine, and runs fine. When I shifted into reverse, transmission did not engage. Same for shifting into Drive, or 1st or 2nd gear, no engagement of transmission. Trans fluid is good level, and clean. What is the likely cause? Thanks very much.

You can try checking the transmission range sensor/VSS/TPS sensors, don't work bring it in-its internal
