Improve

( 5R55E ) automatic transmission with the 4.0 liter - V6 ( OHV and SOHC )
Which is same as V-6 Mustang.
( 4R70W ) automatic transmission with the 5.0 liter - V8
Which is the same as 4.6 Liter Vb Mustang.
The only change came in 2005 when the, "Sportmatic" semi-manual shiftstick transmission changed the configuration. So, from 1996-2004 the transmissions are the same.

You should use the torque converter and flexplate that comes with the mustang transmission. don't use the old one as it is contaminaited with particles from failed parts. Also the parts are broken in together so I would reccomend using the whole mustng flexplate converter and tranny together.
