it still run sluggish

I changed the fuel pump in my truck (98 Expedition 5.4) and cleaned the fuel injector, but it still run sluggish. what could be the problem? When I start to take off, the truck start slow and if I step on the gas hard I smell something burning. That's only when I step on the gas hard to take off.
