Is the Malfunction Indicator Light showing?
When was the fuel filter last replaced?
Did you check the transmission fluid level?

No there is no light showing. The fluid is fine, I have not changed the fuel filter.

Poor engine performance can affect gear changes and there are many other possible causes as well.

Start with a fuel filter change to see if it helps.

It is possible but usually it would trigger trouble codes.
