1998 ford contour loose power when it warms up back fires and stalls but will start back up and idel when cool has really good power has the 2.0

Is it due for tune up ?
Check fuel pressure and fuel filter
check coil
check exhaust back pressure and catalytic converter

changed the temp control for the computer and car run great now hopefully if anyone else has this problem this will help it is located on top of the themostat housing
