Ford Contour Alternator Problem

Battery light flickers, and abs faintly flickers. I can only see abs flicker at night because it is so faint. battery has good charge, 12.8 cold this morning. 14.03 running no load. with everything on, high beams, blower on high and radio, initial voltage is 13.75 but after 5 minutes at 12.4. when i increase rpms voltage back to 13.75. a couple years ago having a similar problem, took alternator in and it tested ok. reinstalled and noticed a frayed wire, replaced the wire and everything seemed OK until now. its a pain to pull the alternator, so could it be anything else?
current alternator was installed about 6 years ago to replace oem.

i believe you are going to replace the alternator this time around. it should be 14 to 14.5 volts
