Dodge Dakota Engine Problem

Luke warm air only, even when put all the way to hot on switch. replaced heater core 3 years ago, truck runs at 175 degrees . In winter time I pull a vacuum hose by gas pedal & replace hose to get the air to stay on floor/defrost cause if i don't it ALWAYS comes out of vents position. Now what?

Replace the thermostat. 175 degrees is way too cold. If you check the diagnostic fault codes, you'll see you have one set for "engine running cold too long", meaning it's not up to operating temperature within six minutes of starting.
