Starter won't even click. car won't start. Battery still runs blower and lights.

I have a 98 Chrysler Town and Country LSi That was running fine yesterday, this morning I went out to start it, it started right up but immediately shut off. This happened 4 times, then when I tried it one more time, there was nothing. The lights, blower, etc all work, so the battery is not dead. I noticed when I turn the key to the acces position, the gauges don't respond (i.e. gas, temp) but the dash backlights do work however. Any idea where to check first? I checked the Starter fuse and also tried jumping it.
