Hello, 98 Chrysler Concorde with the 3.2 liter motor in it. The check engine light is coming on now and the car has been running rough for sometime. Put the scan tool on it and it came back showing a bad EGR valve. So, it seems it is time to replace it.

Can someone provide some details on the location and/or diagrams of the location for the EGR valve on one of these motors? I have been digging around online and have not had much luck locating this information.

You help is greatly appreciated!

A code never identifies a bad part, just a failed system. There is a lot to this system and it needs to be checked before throwing a valve at it that may or may not fix it.

The pipes to the valve have to have sufficient vacuum and the exhaust needs the same. It can be determined by the tech checking it.

Only after these items are checked can be the valve be determined whether it is good or bad.

It is behind the motor on the passenger side.
