I have a 4 x 4 Chevrolet Tahoe, and I have issues! My truck has a mind of it's own! My wipers work when they want to, driving down the road with them on and they will cut off. The headlights do the same thing. Someone suggested that I need to check some kind of central control module possibly? I can't quite remember what the name of the part. Help please!

( BCM ) Body Control Module Yes, there was a problem with some of the wiper control modules. It is located under the hood just above and center of the brake master cylinder and mouted to the firewall.

Your problem sounds like it is in the multi-function switch. That's the turn signal switch with all the extra stuff built into it (high/low beam, cruise control, wiper control, etc). They are notorious for causing problems due to very thin gauge wires and a location that takes a lot of abuse from the tilt wheel being slammed into the full up position. The headlights are the key indicator here. If it was the wiper module the headlights would not be affected. It is possible the headlight switch has a seperate issue but I doubt it. Hope this helps.
