I was driving on the highway and my car lost power and turned off. While it was losing power the oil symbol and volts light came on. The car would turn over and not start. I checked the oil and it was below the add line so I put 2 qt in and tried to start again it would turn over once again and die after 3 or 4 seconds if i put my foot on the gas as it was starting it would die after 1 or 2 seconds. Did I lock up my engine or what may be the problem?

I feel the engine is fine. It sounds like the fuel pump may have gone bad. Start by checking the fuel pressure. There is a video and directions on our homepage under the DIY section.
