docfixit.thanks for getting back so fast.the 2 belts i have tried so far are duralast from auto zone.i spoke with chevy dealer (patrs dept.)today thinking maybe if i buy from chevy the belt may fit better.it cost 70.00 compared to 29.00 at auto zone.what do tou think

There is absolutely no reason to pay the extra money. The dealer parts are no different. Make sure you have the correct engine and accessory information and you should get the correct belt. Does the routing shown in the diagram docfixit provided match up with your application? I answered this because you started a seperate thread from the original one he answered. You may want to go back and find that original one and add this to it to get his answer also.

Hi dwb812.I really don't no if I reply here or hit reply on the email,but anyway thank you for your reply.the diagram docfixit sent is the sameone I have.I have changed the water pump since last post.that did nothing.could the pulleys get loose and throw off the tension on the belt.they seam to be ok but i'm frustrated and reaching now.I am sure the belt is on right.got any ideas
