1998 Chevrolet Cavalier Repair Question

RPM's dropp like ignition switch is turned off while driving.
While driving my 2000 Z24 that has a 98 2.4L engine the RPM's drop out and come back up. Sometimes you must pull to the side of the road and restart. I recently changed the fuel pump and filter, and just changed the crank position sensor. This did not help. Got any suggestions

Do you have a check engine light and when was last tune-up?
Check the fuel pressure, throttle position and manifold absolute pressure sensors
