I bought a spare key for my 1998 chevrolet cavalier. she finally used it yesterday. some how the anitheft systm was triggered by the key being
a spare and not recopied professionally at leows. how do i reset the system so i can start it up . I tried the turn the original forward and leave
it until the anitheft word begins to flash but it didnt flash even after 40 minutes, i unhooked the red power cable also for 20 minutes. I have been driving the car for a few months with the key I got from the used car people it doesnt have a chip in it but a may be a good copy key. how can i
reset the antitheft so i may drive to work?
