Hi, My engine wont idle correctly on my Cadillac it shudders when you first start it up and have to hold it at 1000 RPM the engine acts weird, I personally thin its the crank shaft pos sensor. Also My temp gauge goes to the moon when I drive for 25 miles and the engine hot warning comes on. Theirs nos steam coming out of the radiator. Also theirs no viable coolant leaking from the car. The coolant tank is still pretty full. Help please.I jsut need a solid car. So far this car is a **** compared to my 96' monte carlo ls

It sounds like what is happening is as it sits, coolant is leaking into the cylinders from a suspect internal leak. The result is misfires until the non-combustible liquid is gone. Thisa would also explain the overheat. I would suggest having a block test done for presence of combustion gases in the cooling system.
