Buick Skylark Door Problem
Dome light: if I simply open the car door to remove an item from the interior, upon the closing the door, the dome light stays on.
If I turn on the ignition, the dome light turns itself off in a few moments, as it always has.
Why doesn't it go off without getting a message from the ignition??

How long does it stay on. It sounds like it was off before you opened the door. The interior lights stay on for up to half a minute on a lot of cars after you close the doors.
