Speedometer needle vibrates as I get moving?

1998 Acura Legend mileage: 155,000. My car's speedometer has been acting strangely lately. The needle vibrates as I get moving. The faster I go the faster the needle vibrates. Around 60 miles per hour it bounces back and forth around one dash. The funny thing is that it only happens sometimes. This is driving me crazy. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

It sounds like you have a faulty vehicle speed sensor (VSS).
The VSS is located under right front of the engine (see picture below).

The VSS goes into the transmission, it send the transmission rotation data to the ECM and in turn the ECM interprets the signal and provides that information as the output on the gauge.
Over time the speed sensor can go bad. It can become loose or have corroded wires.
