Sorry but we don't have that model in our manuals. However, you might consider removing the belt and ensure all wheels, AC, power steering etc turn freely with grinding etc. Next, it is possible that the tensioner is weak and needs replacing. This keeps tension on the belt. If the spring is weak it will allow the belt to slip. I have given you a pic for a 1997 Volvo 850 showing you the tensioner.

Are you saying that when you turn the key on and the turn it more to start the car the key doesn’t want to spring back or the key springs back but the starter stays engaged to the flywheel.
