Can I conect my fuel pump on a normal relay to my ignition?

Will that work cause I've checked everything and I did replace my fuel pump plus the fuel pump relay but my fuel pump keeps on stoping to pump. Then after a few hours it comes on again?

Suspect Engine Control Module maybe faulty it engages fuel pump relay.

How do I fix that and where do I find the engin module

Need a DVOM to check if relay is not closing do to no ground from ECM. No fix replace ECM. need to know model and engine

Remove fuel pump relay identify terminal #85 set meter to read OHMS connect RED lead to #85 and Black to body. key on should read 0 ohms if not then ECM not grounding. ECM engine comp cenetr near windshield
