Speedometer made usual squealing sound in the morning when it was cold, but this time the speedometer quit working but the squealing whinning noise is still there. Took dash apart, cable turns. What else could it be? Is there a speed sensor? If so where is it located.

Check and test the vehicle speed sensor-could also be another one on the speedometer/head

Took it all apart and used a drill to turn speedometer and it worked. Going to buy a new cable tomorrow, Thank you
