Is there a way to know which knock sensors I have in my 97 4runner SR5 V6 4wd? Seems they used 2 different ones and in order to change them I need to know which ones are in the truck. I don't really want to take it apart until I get the parts.

Both codes came up so I intend on changing both. I found them cheap on ebay, 49.99 ea. Or 74.99 each. So I guess I have to remove the old ones first then order them. What a pain! I actually had a dealer from toyota try to sell me one of each. Telling me thats what the truck required. I found that to be odd so I did a bunch of research and found out it's one type or the other. Was there a manufacturing cut off date when they changed from one to the other?
