1997 SAAB 900 Repair Question

Roof trouble
Saab convertible 900se turbo 1997.. roof wont fully open back bit comes up fine but the rest wont lift..sounds like it wants to though but it seems stuck, would it be due to getting wet.. thank you very much

U NEED TO GET THE ROOF POTENTIOMETER RE-PROGRAMMED ALSO CHECK TONNEAU COVER MOTOR IN TRUNK AREA IF THE GEARS R GRINDING OR SHEARED OFF ,NOTE MAKE SURE U GET SOMEONE WHO KNOWS SAABS TO WORK ON IT ,ALSO NOTE THAT REAR BACK SEAT SECTION MOST BY UNLOCKED & DOWN WHILE PROGRAMMING THE POTENTIOMETER BACK TO CORRECT SETTINGS ,GOOD LUCK .
