I just had a new motor put in my car but it wouldn't pass state inspection.
The knock sensor code was on i'm trying trying to repair it my self but can't find were its located

What is the exact code number you have?Also how do you know its the knock sensor?Could be a wire issue or some other issue.Did the code appear as soon as the new engine was installed?
