Plymouth Neon Timing belt Problem
My motor has started an intermittent skipping. Every 1-2 minutes, it will skip and then continue running normally. The skip is very prominent.
The car has been running very well lately. I did have the cylinder head and timing belt replaced about 7 months ago. Recently the service engine light has come on referring to the timing belt having skipped a notch. It has been running well though up until now. I have been getting up to 40+ mpg hwy in fact.
Would the timing belt slip cause this or should I look elsewhere for the problem?
Thank you,
Stephen
