Parts reader said it was a CAM shaft sensor

I have a mazda that shut off running 65 miles an hr and the parts reader said it was a cam shaft sensor can it be done at home easy or does it need to be taken in. Was driving it shut off parts reader said a cam shaft sensor want to know if it can be done easy at home or if it needs to go in

First of all, a cam sensor will not cause this issue. A code never identifies a bad part, just a failed system.

You need to have the fuel pressure checked, spark checked as well as the compression. Start at basics before throwing parts at it.
