Brake light on even when the mechanics fix the whole brake system?

Check the brake light switch under the dash at the top of the brake pedal.

What about the engine gauge meter that reads if the engine is overheating. The fans are working but gauge doesn't move at all even after I left the car to run for almost 30 mins. What do I need to check for the engine meter reader?

It should be near the oil filter.
