Squeaking noise

Hi my wife's 97 Nissan Micra has started making a squeaking noise. . I have disconnected the water pump(the noise sounds like a worn water pump) however the noise remains. . I am sure it's not the alternator. The noise seems to becoming from the middle/bottom of the engine directly under the fuel intake air cleaner area. I know this sort of question is difficult but any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks
Martin

It possibly could be the tensioner or idler pulleys.

Remove belts and feel all pulleys for slop and spin for hard spots, start here.
