I crossed the battery cables on my 97 nisson altama and now nothing ele works engine runs fine what is going on

Check for blown main fuses and fusble links near the battery. Reversing the polarity usually blows some of them.

Thank you for responding nobody is helping I have been sitting here 2 1/2 hrs for some to help all of the fuses inside are not blown then how do I check the polarity on the fuses I cant see in the window to tell if they are blown desperate

This is not a live chat but a forum so it might take some time for you to get any response, if you are lucky, as the overhelming number of questions coming in tends to many being missed out.

Check those under hood near the battery, especially the fusible type. Fuses and fusible links have to be tested as visual inspection might not be accurate.
