TRANSMISSION NOT SITTING STRAIGHT BEHIND THE ENGINE.
1997 Mitsubishi Montero • 134,200 miles
The manual transmission looks like it is slightly tilted to the right visually. I can also feel it in the stick, touching the shifthole side. Never dealt with something like this. Help please :(
Additionally the stick moves slightly right when starting to drive in 1st gear, and slightly left when going in reverse? Broken tranny mount????
I would check for bad transmission mounts and bad engine mounts.
Engine mounts were just replaced 3000 miles ago, the engine sits straight and does not move much when reved
Ok check the transmission mounts and bolts holding everything.
Defective tranny mount confirmed at shop thank you much guys :)
Your welcome glad to hear you got it figured out thats what we like to hear.
