Oil leak

I have an oil leak right where the timing belt cover touches the oilpan. I have replaced the valve cover gaskets, the oilpan gaskets, and the oilpan, but I am still experiencing a small leak. I let the engine run for 20 min after wiping everything clean and just a very small deposit had formed right where I wiped. It is on the right front. What would you recommend as next step?

Sounds like the seal around the nose of the crank or the front oil seal. You would have to remove the timing cover to see and to replace it will involve removing the belt and gear.

It pays around 6 hours in labor and only if this is the leak. Get it verified before doing anything.

What do you think about oil stop leak additives? I was looking but I am not 100% sure, especially with the highly different reviews out there.

I do not believe in those products. They, if they work, are very temporary and dont do much of anything.

Get it fixed correctly.
