I tried to start car back up it did not start

I just had a flex plate put on eclipse gsx the other day. Now I parked and when I tried to start car back up it did not start. When I turn the ke I hear some thing spinning and a light grinding noise while I have the key turned. The car will not start. Do New engine put in 45 days ago, new altinator also
