G'day guys....one of those crazy situations. The vehicle came in with the SRS light issue and the client wanted the vehicle serviced and passed for rego as well. We felt we needed to resolve the SRS issue in order for it to pass registration check and we would do the service after that. We got bogged down with the light issue as you know and so we never progressed to the service. Had we, we would have resolved the SRS issue instead of having to send it to Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi found the reverse sensor had collapsed internally (something we would have picked up at the service or rego check stage had we got that far). We didn't want to do the service unless we fixed the issue because there was no point charging the customer for the service if we couldn't pass the vehicle for rego. In this case it didn't pay to be so thoughtful.

Cheers guys and thanks for all your input
