my van wont start after it was turned off.

it ran fine until i shut off the motor the next day i tried to turn it over and it wouldn't get a spark

i checked to see if it was getting fuel and it was. then i checked to see if it was getting a spark by taking one of the plug wires in the front off and getting the plug out and putting it back into the wire. it didn't get a spark.
