Were is the connection for the smoke check

Depends on what you're checking for leaks. Oil leak - stuff the probe into the dipstick tube. Evaporative emissions system - gas cap may work, or look for a place you can open a hose going to the charcoal canister. Vacuum leak - disconnect a small vacuum hose from the item and inject smoke into the hose.
