Not starting

The car cranks, but did not start. It has neither ignition spark nor fuel injection signal. The check engine light flashes at 2 cycles per second as soon as the key is at the on position. After a few hours the check engine light does not flash any longer, and then everything is back to normal. The problem can reoccur the next day or a month later. I don't think it is a crank position sensor issue, but I changed it anyway. It did not solve the problem. Please help.

This is most likely an ECU issue. This is not uncommon when the ECM fails for the check engine light to flash and then shut off.

If the engine is not starting when this happens then the likely issue is that the ECM is not communicating.

I am attaching the info below on the ECM and how to replace it. If it were me, I would replace this and then see if the issue reoccurs.
