Have not had any troubles with the car (relatively new owner), however the oil is quiet dark and I was wondering if anyone could provide some instructions on how to replace the oil myself?

if you have never done it, take it to a shop as it is a cheap job, just dont let them upsell you on anything. you have to collect the oil, dispose of it along with the filter. it can be a mess and what you need to purchase in equipment makes it easier to have someone do it for you
