Air conditioner won't engage
1997 lincoln town car air conditing works when you first start the engin. After it dis engages it will not engage again..

More than likely the A/C pressure is low. Have you ever had the system serviced or flushed and filled?
Ill bet the system has leaked out the refrigerant or a portion of it and the a pressure switch wont reengage the clutch on the compressor as a fail safe device.

low state of charge will do that and a week ac clutch coil will to . when the clutch kicks out try taping the front of it lightly with a small hammer or a pry bar to see if it kicks back on . if yes the clutch is week.
