My car would not Move easily

I have an automatic car. This morning the car would not reverse. Something was blocking it. When I parked the car saturday night it was fine. I somehow managed to back just a little and then I drove forward I heard a noise, like something was released and I suspect that someone was messing with my car as I live alone and do not own a dog

Won't go in reverse gear or won't move at all while in reverse gear?
