After warmed up(10-20 mls) my in line 6 backfires then shuts down completly. Then will not fire up till it cools down(about 20 min or so)It does NOT overheat or seze up. Is There a part( ie fuel/electric)That can go bad and cause this? I am very mecanicly inclined, but it has me stumped. I would VERY much appriciate any help you could provide since I am on a very tight budget.

Thank you

Phillip

Crank sensor is a common failure but also, you need to have the fuel pressure checked as well to make sure the pump is not failing when it gets hot.

Fuel pump is in the tank and is an electric motor that generates heat when it is running.
