1997 Holden Vectra Hi Cl Hard Start Try Start Continuosly Wind Ignition Ages

hi MY holden vectra 1997 cl is hard to start,when I try to start it, i have to continuosly wind the ignition for ages before it starts,but when it starts the engine runs fine,also it stalls sometimes when I pull up at the lights,I replaced the fuel pump and the fuel filter and it made no difference,what could cause this?cheers from andrew,
