Ford Thunderbird Transmission Problem

I just had the rack and penion, upper control arm and ball joints on both sides, repaired also the transmission gasket changed and not
I can only shift into reverse gear.. It won't change into 1st, 2nd or drive gear.

Would any of these repairs, have anything to do with my gears not changing?

Your answer is deeply appreciated.. Thanks.

check the fluid level, if it was just changed it may have eaten the clutch materials off due to new fluid with mileage you state. have a trans guy look at it.
