car died in reverse and wont start now

was backing up in driveway and started to get stuck so put it in drive and car died. Its a 97 ford taurus. had starter tested and replaced next day and still wont start. it was only running about 6 minutes. I was told engine seized up but find it hard to believe. what could it be and what should i try to do to get it running

PLEASE HELP ME. I HAD BEEN DRIVING THE CAR ALL DAY AND NOT 1 PROBLEM AND WITHIN6 MINUTES OF BACKING UP OUT THE DRIVEWAY PUTTING ON BRAKE AND AW SOON AS I PUT IT IN DRIVE, IT DIED. THAT WAS A WEEK AGO. REPLACED THE STARTER AND STILL WONT START. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO CHECK AND HOW AND IF THE MOTOR SEIZED UP ON ME
