how do you remove the manual transfer case on the 97 ford ranger 4.0 manual transmission and transfer case

You need to remove the drive shafts, remove the cross member then unbolt it from the trans and remove linkage. Make sure the vehicle is secure and can't move and support the trans and transfer case. It is heavy.
