My 2000 ranger truck did same thing. Weird. It would stop running everytime I stopped at stop signs or red lights. But, I figured out that as long as I kept it above a quarter tank, it never did it. So to this day I have always put gas in at a quarter instead of near empty and it has been fine ever since. Also, if you change out the fuel filter you may fix issue as well. Good luck, Marcpilot1
