my 1997 ford f150 is having a hard time starting. the oil pressure light stays on after all other dash lights go out. i have to crank it over 3 to 4 short times then the oil pressure light goes out, then i crank it over a long one for it to start.when it starts all the gauges are normal.RPM's are at about 850 at idle. the battery is new and a new altanator. Do you have any suggestions?

Check the fuel pressure with a gauge if its within specs to rule out the fuel filter and weak fuel pump-if okay test the engine coolant temperature sensor and idle air control valve to include the MAF sensor-
