Why does my truck shake when I put it in first gear

It starts shaking bad when I take off. Transmission is new but I didnt put it in. Just bought off used car lot.

Does it feel like the engine or suspension related?

There are many possibilities for the symptom described.

1. Engine misfiring.
2. Drive trains sucah as shafts etc, unbalanced.
3. Transmission fault.
4. Steering linkages.

Without knowing the exact situation and the source of the problem, I can only suggest checking the above for a start.
