1997 Ford Escort Tried Jump Atart Hibryd Car Before Could Even Start Try Charge

i tried to jump atart a hibryd car and before i could even start my car to try to charge his a little, my car would not start it turns over real good but no pops or nothing. i had only turned this car off for less than a minute and it would not start. any help you can give will i will be greatful
