1997 Dodge Ram Repair Question

Why would my blower work for my heat but not my a/c...1997 dodge ram 1500
I wanted to add freon to my truck because it needed to be charged, but i couldnt because the blower is not working. the blower works for the heat, i checked the fuses and they are fine

your heater mode switch could be bad and not sending power to the blower.
